What happens when your hair isn’t quite right?
How do you feel when it’s a rainy day and you forgot your umbrella? Or a windy day after you just spent all morning making every hair just right?
Thankfully, these moments are infrequent, but they sure can mess up a good hair day! And turn a smile into a frown pretty quickly for us girls.
But let me ask you this, “What if you couldn’t get back those good hair days though? What if the hair days you knew are just not happening anymore?”
Would you do everything you could to find a solution?
How do you feel on a good hair day?
It is an undeniable fact that our hair, and its health and growth affect us and how we feel about ourselves. We like to think we are more than just our hair, but the simple fact is that our hair is important to us.
That’s why we run for solutions when our hair is damaged, dry, breaking, or lacking the radiance it used to have. We know it, and we feel it. But what happens when it gets worse, and we experience hair loss in greater amounts than we ever have and our heart starts to beat a little faster with each handful we see falling out.
“Now what?” you ask yourself…
A little hair science for you!
Let me share a little information.
Did you know there are approximately 100,000 hair follicles on our head! That’s a lot to count!
Each follicle is capable of growing about 20 hairs over the course of a lifetime. And a healthy scalp grows healthy hair at a rate of 3 to 4 mm per day. Who knew that little piece of information right?
While there are various stages of growth and shedding, we can expect to lose approximately 100 to 150 pieces of hair in a day. This is very normal. And if you don’t wash your hair each day, then you can expect to see more loss on the third or fourth day, as the count accumulates.
But losing more than that count each time we wash and we get concerned. Male pattern baldness can affect both men and women of all ages. There are many reasons for hair loss.
According to the US Library of National Medicine, it is estimated to be 50 million men and about 30 million women that are affected by androgenic alopecia, or male pattern baldness.
There is a hormone that is produced on the scalp that creates a shorter growth life cycle for each strand. It also is the culprit that thins the hair shaft and weakens it. Meet dihydrotestosterone. The enemy of our hair.
For those with hair loss, this unfavorable experience often can follow stress, hormonal changes, new medication, post-surgery, and postpartum.
After a traumatic experience occurs, hair loss can be noticed approximately 3 months after.
Boy, when it rains, it pours!
Thankfully, I can tell you about an ingredient that can help!
There is a product called the Intense Repair Treatment which features a significant amount of Capixyl, an active ingredient designed to prevent and stop the hair loss process while stimulating hair growth.
What wonderful news to have something as simple as switching hair products with specific ingredients targeting hair loss to help out.
These little fighters will travel to the hair follicle and help to increase the size of the hair follicle, improve hair anchoring, and inhibit the formation of the hormone, DHT.
They also reduce inflammation and limit free radical damage. They really go to work!
Who knew a little ingredient like Capixyl could offer so much benefit!
It can be as simple as switching your hair products.
Sometimes the solutions to our hair problems are not as difficult as we think.
Here’s to more happy hair days,
